Saturday morning, June 6, 2009 was a great morning.
We held our annual “Youth Day Fishing Event.” Twenty-four kids gave the
trout the old what-fore. Although the catch was slow the fun was fast paced.
After we held the event drawing where every kid came away a winner, we held
our annual fund raising raffle drawing.
Here are the results from
that drawing.
1st prize is a
Fenwick HMG 5 ½ foot light action rod and Pflueger Supreme ultra light reel
donated by the Bait and Hook Store in Fort Wayne. Cory Briner is the lucky
winner.
2nd prize is a
fishing related print created by well-known artist Rod Crossman. Jay DeVoss
will enjoy this print for years.
3rd prize is a
guided walk in fishing trip for two with all the extras provided by a NEITA
patron goes to Dale Fulkerson. Dale will not need to worry about flies or
going hungry on this trip.
4th prize is a
tackle pack provided by Tri-States Bait and tackle of Fremont. Mike Shaver
will be able to put this to good use.
5th prize of a G
Loomis Venture Fly Reel donated by a NEITA patron will be enjoyed by Joe
Geisler. Joe is also a fly fisherman. Talk about fitting the prize to the
winner.
6th prize of a
$50.00 gift certificate from The Angler in Helmer will be put to good use by
Brad Chowning.
7th prize of a $50.00 gift certificate at Gander Mountain and donated by a NEITA patron, will be enjoyed by Richard Koester. Richard is a long time NEITA member.
9th prize of a fly box full
of flies tied and donated by the members of The Three Rivers Fly Fisherman’s
club of Fort Wayne goes to Kevin Degitz.
