In our bi-annual elections
held last year the NEITA Election Committee was unable to find a candidate
for the very important office of Vice-President. Neither was one nominated
for the position on the night of the election. The search continues.
Fortunately our By-Laws allow the President to appoint volunteers to fill
any vacant positions.
The duties of the office
are simple. Assist the President as needed, carry out the directives of the
Board and learn what it takes to take the important step up to President
should circumstance dictate. It is an important and sometimes time-consuming
job. There is no pay, as are all NEITA Officer and Board positions, yet it
has its own inner rewards.
If you have ever had an
interest in becoming an Officer or Director of NEITA, now is your chance.
Your only requirement is to be a member in good standing, a willingness to
achieve and a desire to make us an even better organization through your
efforts.
